Lasting Powers of Attorney & The Mental Capacity Act - Wednesday 25th March 2026

A one day interactive webinar which aims to equip delegates so they have full confidence in embracing Lasting Powers of Attorney, taking clients from initial instructions, all the way through to execution and registration at the Office of the Public Guardian.

The course will cover:

• Introduction to the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
• Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA).
• Advanced decisions.
• Registration of LPAs.
• Registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPA).
• Revocation of LPAs and EPAs.    

Prerequisites: Attendance on the “Willwriting in Practice” training event or other similar training event would be an advantage. It is also suggested to have read the “Basic Guide to Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney” course notes. Delegates should also have sat and passed the IPW entrance examination, or equivalent.
