Applying For Deputyship Through the Court of Protection - 5th November 2025

This Webinar will start at 10am and should finish at around 5:00pm. 

This Webinar will cover:

• What a Deputy is.
• When an application is necessary.
• Who can make the application?
• What the Deputy’s responsibilities are.
• How the application is made?
• What forms are used?  
•  Fees.
• What happens after submission of forms?
• What happens after the order has been made?
• Supervision.
• Support from the court.

Prerequisites:

• Have passed the IPW entrance exam, or an equivalent exam accepted by the IPW.
• Have attended the IPW webinars in respect of Lasting Powers of Attorney, Advising the Elderly and An Introduction to Will Trusts (or an equivalent course accepted by IPW).
• Have at least 3 months Willwriting experience OR written (full members) or have taken instructions for (associate members) at least 15 Wills.
