Advanced Will Trusts - 10th September 2024

Delegates should have passed the IPW entrance exam, or an equivalent exam accepted by the IPW. It is also suggested that delegates have attended the IPW courses in respect of Lasting Powers of Attorney, Advising the Elderly, Introduction to Trusts and Introduction to Estate Taxation (or equivalent courses accepted by IPW). Delegates should also have at least 2 years Willwriting experience. 

What you'll take away from this course:

• Advise clients on the appropriate Trust for their circumstances.
• State the considerations for each type of Trust.
• Effectively draft a Will which includes a Full Discretionary Trust.
• Effectively draft a Will which includes a Life Interest Trust.
• Effectively draft a Will which includes a Right of Occupation (Right to reside) Trust.
• Effectively draft a Will which includes a FLIT (Flexible Life Interest Trust).
• State what a Pilot Trust is and when it may be useful.
